Stoke must improve offer if Commons is to stay.

Kris Commons has rejected Stoke City's latest contract offer. The 20 year old, Nottingham-born midfielder has stated that if he isn't going to join Forest then they will need to make a significantly improved offer than the one they have called 'excellent.'

Phil Goldman confirmed that

Stoke City’s director of football refused to let slip that Forest have made an offer- although that would just be confirming what we already know to be true.
"We have been trying to sign him for the last 18 months and we are still hopeful. We have been making improved offers all the time, but it comes to a situation when Kris has to make his mind up and decide what he wants to do.
"We have improved our offer on several occasions and we want to try and resolve it as quickly as possible."
