Paul Gerrard, who sepnt the final part of last season on loan at The City Ground, has stated that he would love to sign for Forest and has invited Joe Kinnear to offer him a contract. There is no doubt that fans would love to see him here and so the ball's in Joe's court!

Gerrard to come.

Paul Gerrard has not signed for Forest, contrary to reports; but the ex-Everton goalie who was released by his club at the end of last season has stated that he would love t be playing in the famous Nottingham Forest jersey come the beginning of next season.

He said: "It would be nice to go back - but at the moment, I am waiting on phone calls.

"I loved my time at Forest last season and the team did very well while I was there."

It seems that part of Paul's attraction to the club comes on terms of it's ambition and the fact that he believes that we really do have the strength in our squad needed to gain promotion.

"I think Forest have got a great chance of gaining promotion this season and should be aiming for at least the play-offs."

Things are starting to look up for the Reds now, aren't they. Prior the the last few days close-season had been extremely disappointing, seeing one of our best players leaving despite the fact that we were showing signs of promise and had just brought in two new players (Rogers and Impey.)

Now though we have just been informed by Mark Arthur that eight players have signed so far and that Gerrard may be an addition to the list.
