Trialists fail to impress. Kinnear can do better.

Joe Kinnear has sent trialists Rod Fanni and Pape Sarr home saying that he can do better than the French pair. Kinnear will have to make signings and fast, as he needs a couple of defenders before the big kick-off against Wigan Athletic this Saturday.

Reds manager Joe Kinnear has decided not to follow up on the trials of Rod Fanni and Pape Sarr. The two hot prospects spent the last week or so on trial at The City Ground but have not done enough to impress the manager who has stated he believes he can do better.

Hopefully the man nicknamed 'BFJ' will have something up his sleeve and will make a signing to ease the defensive crisis before the season begins a week from now.

There are a number of players who would be available on free transfers and a number of player's who top clubs would be willing to let go on the cheap as they are not good enough to play at that level. Unfortunately, the trouble will always be wages, and this means that we will have to look at the better player's from lower clubs and those clubs will be looking at the highest possible transfer fees.

Although the article that has been mentioned on this site previously by The Times mostly spouted rubbish, they were right when tehy said that The Reds haven't made enough signings. East Midland rivals Leicester City have made many additions to their squad and maybe Forest should take a leaf out of their book.
