Jon Olav Hjelde to be offered monthly contract.

Joe Kinnear is to offer Norweigan defender Jon Olav Hjelde a monthly contract on a temporary basis. Forest are very short in defence and the former Forest man would be the perfect solution.

The man that Forest fans are divided on, Jon Olav Hjelde, is to be offered a month-to-month contract. Even those that say he is a lump and does not deserve to wear the garibaldi (again), will agree that given the circumstances we are in no position to turn the giant from Norway away.

Joe Kinnear said: "We are looking at putting Jon on a monthly contract because we are very short in that area.

"We will look at it later in the week."

I am very pleased that this has been said, as I am one of those in the 'Bring him back!' camp. 'Big Jon' always gave his best when playing for The Reds and in my opinion should never have been released in the first place. Another mistake from 'Harty.'

With the big kick-off at the JJB Stadium drawing ever closer, Forest are deperate for cover for Daws and Morgan, both of whom will be missing the first few games.
