Andy's Rant: Something tells me Reidy wants out.

Reidy has once again commented on the fact that we do not have a squad strong enough to go for promotion. Although he may believe this, does he have to express it in this way? Bringing down the morale of the once optimistic fans, the players who believe they can do something AND possible signings.

Slim Fast's latest advertising campaign, Andy Reid, has been at it again. More negative comments in which he puts down Forest's chances of promoton- this time in the BBC.

This is the second time Reidy has made comments such as these. Last time round they angered the club, and I can't help thinking the Porky midfielder is just trying to force the club into selling him in order to play in the Premiership with Tottenham Hotspur.

"I think our chances of promotion are pretty slim at the moment, you'd have to say," Reid told BBC Sport.

"At the minute we're still a good few players short of making a proper push. It's looking a bit like we'll struggle maybe like last season.

"We've picked up some injuries in pre-season but I guess this is the way things are in this division, money's really tight and clubs just don't have enough to go out and buy players.

"I do think it's important to go on a run - look at Norwich last year, they had a brilliant run and no-one could put the same sort of thing together.

"We beat them 2-0 at home and played them off the park, but they bought some players and got on a roll that eventually took them up."

Can't say I blame him, though, really. Why should Andy stay here when there are much better opportunities elsewhere? It's not as though Reid has said he would be here forever like Gaz 'Judas' Williams, and he hasn't grown up a Red's supporter. I wouldn't turn down a better paid job just because I was loyal to my current employers. Would you?
