Portland hands Vancouver its first loss!

Coach Bobby Howe makes changes to his starting line-up and comes away with a big win at home against the Whitecaps of Vancouver BC

Timbers hand the Whitecaps their first loss of the season on a goal by Byron Alvarez. Byron headed the ball into the net off a nice cross by Fadi Afash. The biggest move of the match was the starting line-up change. Jake Sagare started at center mid and controlled the match for the Timbers. For the first time in a long time the the Timbers controlled the mid feild all due to Jake Sagare.  Aaron Heinzen played a great game on the outside left with Hugo on the outside right gave more then the Whitecaps could handle.
