Timbers play flat and as a result come away with one point and vancouver wins on the road to put the timbers 3 points behind in the playoff race.

| July 27th Calgary The Timbers put on a poor performance at home as Calgary comes to town. Calgary jumped on the board first in the 8th minute of play, as Nick Reyes beat out the Portland defense and blasted in a shot over the head of Portland goalkeeper Josh Saunders from 35 yards out. Gavin Wilkinson knotted the score at one goal apiece in the 33rd minute, deflecting a corner kick by Hugo Alcaraz into the net from six yards. It was Wilkinson’s first goal of the season. The rest of the match was not entertaining and neither team looked like they wanted the win. Ortland out shoot Calgary but still came up empty handed.
