The Timbers come out flying and grab in early lead on the fast feet of Jake Sagare on the left wing who passed a sweet ball to Tennyson for the first goal.
| Match Report |
| August 10th in Seattle The Timbers played one of their best games of the season up in Seattle as the won for the first time in 3 seasons. It was a total team effort as all the players looked sharp. The match was not very old as Jake Sagare broke down the left wing past 3 defenders placing a perfect pass to an on rushing Tennyson for a goal. That goal stood up for the first half of play. In the second half Seattle got the equalizer with a nice shot by Marco Valez 59th minute. Portland was on top once again when Byron Alvaraz scored 10 minutes later plus he put in the insurance goal 12 minutes after that. Seattle had their chances but could not find the net as the Timbers challenged every ball. Great job by the lads to keep the playoff drive on track.
