Timbers Drumman to visit Halifax Town

The Timbers Drumman will make a trip to europe and stop at the Shay to cheer on the Shaymen! The Drumman will meet the fans for the first time and see some former Timbers play.

Some have asked why go to Halifax Town to take in a soccer match? The main reason is the connection to the Portland Timbers. Sean McAuley and Jake Sagare have played for Portland. When Sean went to Halifax I wanted to keep in touch to see how things turned out. The best way to do that was to form a link with the fans of Halifax Town to get the whole picture. I have been fortunate to have contact with some of the supporters and follow the message board daily. Then came the big break of getting cheap airfare to Europe. I could think of no better way in meeting the fans and seeing a match in person. This will be a very short visit but well worth the time.
