Timbers have no answer for Rochester as they fail to stop them when it counts. Bad miscues on defence and a lack on offence seals the doom for the Timber boys.

June 17 Timbers 1 Rochester 2

Rochester comes to Portland for the first time ever and leave with a win! For the second home match in a row the Timbers find themselves on the losing end. Rochester came out pressing with the Timbers on their heels early in this match.
Kirk Wilson scored for Rochester in the 38th minute of play as the Timbers defence broke down badly. The Timbers did get back into the match in the 75th minute as Alex Bengard converted a penalty kick. That was all the Timbers could come up with as Rochesters was soon on the attack again and scored the game winner in stoppage time as Kirk Wilson fed Doug Miller for the goal.
