Keeper error gives the match to the Blues. The match was evenly played and was on the verge of ending in a tie that would had the Shaymen third in the table.
A bizzare ending to a well played match has Halifax on the brink of not making the playoffs. Both teams had their chance to win the match but were unable to find the net.
It all changed in the 88th minute of play. Ian Dunbavin the keeper for the Shaymen had gathered the ball in his area and was bumped by one of the Blues. No call was made as both players received a talking to. The ref waved to play on with Dunbavin following the ref still ranting about the no call. The ref call a hand ball on Dunbavin as he was outside his area this resulted in a quick free kick being taken by the Blues and the ball found an empty net. A lucky break for the Blues and a sad result for the Shaymen.
