Renault wrapped up a three-day development programme at Jerez. It was once again a busy session, mainly focused on preparations for the Chinese Grand Prix.

Heikki Kovalainen and Giancarlo Fischella tried to optimize their running time on Friday and completed 284 laps on both cars. Tyres, tyres and more tyres were once again the motto of the day to collect some interesting data.

"We completed our programme thanks to excellent reliability of both cars which allowed us to cover a large number of laps," said chief test engineer Christian Silk. "The drivers did a really good job, especially as we pushed them a lot to make up for lost time. They did no mistakes and gave interesting feedback regarding the tests we made today. We are definitely satisfied with our preparation for the Chinese GP."

The Renault F1 Team will be testing next week in Silverstone with Heikki Kovalainen and Nelson Piquet Jr. on his testing debut with the world champions.
