Renault F1 Team completed a diligent final day of testing in Barcelona to round off a productive week’s work. Perfect testing conditions today saw Renault F1 Team drivers Giancarlo Fisichella and Heikki Kovalainen complete over 1000 km today as they completed the final day of a three-day test.

Both drivers concentrated on long run performance during the day, finalising the tyre selection ahead of next weekend’s British Grand Prix as they conducted endurance running on the Michelin tyres. Both drivers showed encouraging first lap pace and consistency as they set third and fourth-fastest times respectively.

Chief Test Engineer Christian Silk commented: “It was a strong final day for the team today in Barcelona. The team has worked well this week, and we have completed a lot of reliable laps to make good progress with our programmes. Michelin have developed an interesting range of products for the coming race, and we feel we have some good answers for Silverstone. We can be optimistic of another strong Renault performance next weekend.”
