It was a Sunny day out at Partick but a poor Partick Crowd left the crowd low with 4,552 in attendance.  There was a big Dundee crowd of maybe about a 1,000 and the away stand was full.

Dundee had been unbeaten in there last three games and have put on a good run/displays with Jim Duffy as there manager.  Though there was a blow in this game that Georgi Nemsadze had been ruled out cause he was unfit after failing a late fitness test.

Partick dominated most of the game and Dundee were lucky not to be losing sooner than later in the half when they lost there first goal after Jamie Mitchell put them ahead in the 40th minute.

Dundee were poor but were dangerous on the break and Gavin Rae put us ahead after a good goal for Gavin Rae's 2nd goal of the season and 2 goal in a row after scoring mid week against Livingston to help Dundee win.

Ex Dundee player Chic Charnley was on the bench for Partick and managed 45 seconds on the pitch where he made his 4th debut for Partick Thistle.

Though it was unfortunate not to see ex Dundee player Gerry Britton in action who had been dropped from the Partick team.

Garry Brady made his 1st team debut but to be honest we hardly saw anything from Brady to say what we can expect from him in the future.  I think the latest signing was still tired after it being his 1st, 1st team game in a while.

Alex Burns came close a few times with a great save from Speroni after a good free kick from the player.

Speroni also managed to punch Burns shot after it had crossed the line about an inch.

At the start of the 2nd half Gavin Rae had a chance when he knocked the ball just wide of the post from close range and was unlucky not to see it go in.

Gavin however made up for it in the 49th minute of the game when he had a 1-2 with Caballero and Gavin hit the struck the ball sweetly into the net.

Partick player and ex Arab Jamie Buchan hit the ball from 30 yards out and was unlucky to see it knock the post and roll out for a throw in.

The Biggest cheer of the game was kept for the final minutes when Chic Charnley came on in the dying seconds of the game.
