Ivano to go? and Duffy to come in?

Reports are that Ivano is set to go after reports hes not returning back to Dundee with a new manager to come in with Jim Duffy being named as one of the possible targets.

Duffy on the Way?

There is speculation that old Dundee Manager Jim Duffy could be about to return to Dens Park if Ivano does not return after this break.

There has been rumours of Ivano clearing his desk and wanting to remain in Italy with his wife but I spoke to Ivano at the end of the season and he says he cant wait to return.

Ivano is still to arrange a meeting with Peter Marr to talk about the coming season and how much money there is availble for future signings.

There other rumours of Ivanos Replacement in person who brought Juan Sara and Fabian Cabbellero to Dundee, Francisco Ocampo.  He is claiming that he has already been offered the job of Ivanos successor.

Dundee have also denied they have anybody lined up to replace Ivano and Ivano will return back for the new season training on July 2nd.

Peter Marr is meant to be a keen admirer of Jim Duffy and Jim Duffy has very good youth expierence of working with youth players from being youth coach at Chelsea which could favor Jim Duffy more if Ivano does'nt return.

Ocampo is in Charge of Sol De America was quoted as saying he has held talks at dens and been offered Bonettis Postion.

A Dundee Spokeman confirmed Dundee did meet but never offered Ocampo a job.

The Spokesman had the following to say:

"We can categorically deny that anybody has been offered the job at Dens Park,"

"Ivano Bonetti is our manager and, as we have said repeatedly in the past few days, we remain in constructive discussions with him.

"We are in touch with Mr Ocampo, but that is because he is the agent for our players, Fabian Caballero and Juan Sara, and there is a possibility that he could help bring more talented South Americans to Dens Park.

"It was a routine meeting to discuss that."

Ocampo is quoted to have said the following:

"I believe Dundee Football Club is a gold mine that hasn't yet been discovered.

"I have helped the clubs in Paraguay earn £28m in sales. So why can I not help Dundee do the same?

"With good players, hard work and time, the target should be to be the third force in Scottish football.

"This is not an exaggeration."

If Ivano was to leave or be sacked he would have to be paid at the most 3 months wages which was a clause in the contract meaning if he leaves or gets sacked he only gets 3 months wages.
