Recent Form : Whilst Queen's best form so far this season has come in their Challenge Cup exploits, they have yet to produce the goods in their league games. The same could not be said of Gretna however who, following their opening day home 1-1 draw with Morton, have recorded successive victories against Elgin (2-0 away), Montrose (4-1 home) and Albion Rovers (2-0 home) to leave them at the top of the table along with East Fife.

Likely Outcome : Gretna didn't play as well as they can in the Challenge Cup 1st Round tie against Queen's, but then again neither did the Spiders. However Gretna did show that they are a very capable side with two excellent forwards in Hore and Dobie and this game may come at a bad time for Queen's as John McCormack tries to raise disappointed spirits and revive tired legs. Queen's will fight hard as always, but Gretna do move the ball around well and the best Queen's might hope for is a point in a 2-2 draw.
