Recent Form : Both sides had good results last weekend. Whilst Queen's were drawing up at Elgin last Saturday, Gretna were doing likewise away to Morton by the same 2-2 scoreline. Gretna also got a point the previous Saturday at home to Elgin City, but they have now gone four games without a win; that being a comprehensive 4-0 victory away to East Stirlingshire. Gretna, of course, are also the only team to succumb to The Spiders in the League so far this season.

Likely Outcome : Gretna didn't play as well as they can in the Challenge Cup 1st Round tie against Queen's, but then again neither did the Spiders. However Gretna did show that they are a very capable side with two excellent forwards in Hore and Dobie and Queen's did very well to beat them at Hampden on the last day of August. However, maintaining their 100% record on Gretna's own patch will be a much harder task and a 1-1 draw is probably the best that Queen's can hope for.
