| Recent Form : Last Saturday Queen's tamely surrendered a five match unbeaten run to Stirling Albion at Hampden. Prior to John McCormack's appointment, Morton had lost 2-1 at Coatbridge against Albion Rovers before that memorable game at Hampden when they somehow escaped with a 1-1 draw thanks to an incredible goalkeeping performance from Craig Coyle. In one sense, Cowboy has been very lucky with the timing of his appointment as three consecutive home games gave him the best possible opportunity to get off to a good start. A 4-2 win against Montrose was followed by the 4-0 demolition last Saturday of Elgin, so his new charges will certainly be brimming with confidence for this one. | ||||
| Likely Outcome : It's been over 40 years since Queen's last beat Morton in any competitive game and it could well be another 40 years if the Greenock side continue to enjoy the sort of luck that they had in the last fixture at Hampden. If Queen's are to stand any chance, then they will need to have all the above-named players fully fit and in the same frame of mind as a month ago. However, Cowboy knows more about our players than new coach Iain Munro or Paul Martin and David Hunter do about theirs, and that inside knowledge could make all the difference. Morton to win 2-1. | ||||
