Coach John McCormack left to be temporarily replaced by Paul Martin & David Hunter who were, in turn, replaced by Kenny Brannigan. Kenny has now recruited old pal Scott Murdoch from Clydebank who will provide specialist defensive coaching.

On the field, debuts were handed out to no less than 14 new players, half of whom have put pen to paper again for the forthcoming season.

The total list of ins and outs is as follows:

Outs
• John Gemmell went to Partick Thistle
• John Gallagher, Willie Martin and Jamie White all went to Elgin City
• James Allan went to Gretna
• Mark Cairns went to Stirling Albion, and now appears to have left them
• Colin Stewart returned to Kilmarnock when his loan period expired
• Ross Jackson, Tony Mitchell, Jim Bruce, Stuart Jack, Brendan Crozier, Gordon Lappin and Karl Lehman were all released
• Chris Fisher and Stephen Canning were also effectively released but invited to attend pre-season training effectively leaving the door open for them to impress. Stephen Canning appears to have done so but remains unsigned so far.

Ins
• Frankie Carroll has returned to the fold after a year’s absence
• Steve McAuley has signed from Airdrie
• Steven Reilly has signed from Stirling Albion
• Ally Graham has signed from Hamilton

The new season starts this Saturday at Love Street with a 1st Round Challenge Cup tie against St. Mirren and a full preview of the game will appear on this site tomorrow evening.
