Not since the seventies when superb cup victories were achieved at Somerset Park
against Ayr United and at Fir Park against Motherwell, have Queen's recorded a result
which has the same impact on Scottish football's equivalent of the Richter scale.
The script could not have been written better for Stevie Reilly and Ally Graham who were
both stupidly sent off against Albion Rovers just over a week ago, but last night they
repaid their disappointed fans in full by scoring the goals that unexpectedly take the
Spiders through to the next round.
Now, albeit perhaps unexpectedly, Queen's fans have the excitement of tomorrow's 2nd round draw to look forward to with most looking forward to the prospect of being drawn against one of the big guns or, if not, then at least a trip to pastures new. Bring 'em on!
