Pre-Season Friendlies

Vauxhall Motors will play Macclesfield Town at Rivacre Park on 26th July, that is the only confirmed friendly match. A match against Tranmere Rovers at Rivacre Park has been confrimed, the date hasn't been set yet, but it is provisionally pencilled in for a week before Macclesfield on th 19th. Tranmere are said to be bring a first XI for the short trip.

Other Possibilities are Chester City at Rivacre Park, which has been pencilled in for 2/08/03. There could be a game against Wrexham, which is to be anounced in the coming weeks. Any further changes will be announced.

The most Significant match for Motors fans is the fixture against third division outfit Macclesfield Town, as it was David Moss' side that brought Vauxhall Motors FA Cup campaign to an end back in December. Although The Silkmen don't have last seasons leading goalscorer Kyle Lightbourne, who was released at the end of the season.

Another key tie will be the visit of local rivals Chester City. The same tie last year produced a 7-0 hammering of the UniBond club, and Alvin McDonald will want to prove his side has improved during last seasons FA Cup exploits.
