Next Match: Vauxhall Motors Vs Tranmere Rovers

Local team Tranmere Rovers finished just outside the Second Division Play-Offs, behind QPR, who was famously knocked out the FA Cup back in November. Vauxhall had a slow start to the season, and unpredictable form towards the end, but in between were formidable. Tranmere won this tie last term 3-2 at Rivacre Park. And with Ray Mathias promising to bring a first XI for the short trip its a chance for players like Terry Fearns to prove they can compete at a higher level.

A key battle to watch will be if Ian Hume plays for Rovers, how Mike Tomlinson can cope. Tommo has established himself as a Motormen regular and will relish the challenge from the young Scot.
