New Signings
Ex-Kingstonian central defender Chris Whelan,28. The bootle-based player left the Ryman Premier League club because his job has brought him back to the North-West.

Alvin has spoke of Whelan being, "a good, experienced campaigner"

Scouser Chris Jewell,17, a winger who can also operate up front was brought in from newly promoted Accrington Stanley. Jewell spent 12 months at Crown Ground, but never really had chance to prove himself.

Martin Molyneaux, also a seventeen year-old, a striker who has been brought to Rivacre Park from Witton Albion.

Central Midfielder Neil McCann who trained with the squad towards the end of last season, has now made a permanent move from Shrewsbury Town.

The Heswall based player,18, went onto play for Welshpool to gain further experience. All the signings could prove to be a great assett to the club as three are teenagers and one is an experienced central defender.

On Saturday 19th July The Motormen host local Division 2 outfit Tranmere Rovers.

Ray Mathias is said to be bringing a first XI side across the Wirral. The game will take place at Rivacre Park on Saturday 19th July at 3:00.

The game is followed up with a visit from Welsh Premier League runners-up TNS on Tuesday 22nd July. The game will come as TNS prepare to take on Kevin Keegans Manchester City in the UEFA Cup quailifing round.

The admission fee for both games will remain as normal, Adults: £6, Children: £2.
