Altrincham just two additions to their squad who finished 14th last term, Motors versitile Defender/Midfielder Steve Aspinall and Mossley's Rob Matthews being the new recruits.

Last seasons runners-up Barrow are confident of reaching the big time this season, and have made six additions to their squad including Neil Campbell (Scarborough), Michael Oliver (Rochdale), Sean Singh (Scunthope) and Ian Stevens of Shrewsbury.

Last seasons 16th placed Gainsborough Trinity have applied and picked up seven new signitures on their way, including James Mitchell from recently relegated ex-premiership side Sheffield Wednesday.

Lancaster's new manager Phil Wilson has signed no less than nine new squad members, three of which from his former club Southport aswell as Stockport's Ryan Elderton, the Giant Axe outfit will be hoping to better their 17th last seasons place.

Runorn finished mid-table last campaign, but are confident of their squad and only made two pre-season signings. Andy Murphy (Southport) and St Helens star Danny Salt are the new faces around the Halton Stadium.

Southport will be hoping to bounce straight back to the Conference and have made seven new signings including Andy Whittaker (last season 2nd highest league scorer), Paul Haddow and Chris Bennett all from Lancaster.

Ex-Conference side Stalybridge, who were last team to finish runners-up and then directly win the league the next season, have added four new players to their squad list. Arguably the biggest UniBond signing over the summer Andy Payton from Burnley, Andy has an exceptional CV, which includes spells at Hull, Middlesborough, Celtic Barnsley, Huddesfield before ending up at Turf Moor. Over an impressive career he has made over 500 appearances with almost 250 goals to his name.

Worksop have made 7 new signings ahead of the forthcoming season. One of which is ex-Southampton and Birmingham star defender Richard Dryden, 34. Many peoples favourites for promotion and will have to better their top five spot from last season.

But save the best til last... FA Cup giant killers Vauxhall Motors, seven new faces have came to Rivacre Park, Chris Whelan, Chris Jewell, Martin Molyneaux, Gareth Hooper, Neil McCann, Steve Morgan, Alan Griffiths. With only two UniBond Premier Division seasons under their belts, you could call them underdogs, but they were two very impressive seasons finishing 2nd then 3rd. And last seasons Fair Play winners hope to go one better and win the league in Alvin McDonald's sixith year at the helm.
