Rummenigge: "Ruud Wants Bayern Move"

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has underlined his club's intentions to make a move for Ruud Van Nistelrooy, and is confident the player favours a move to Germany. The 30-year-old is also attracting from Real Madrid following his fall-out with United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has confidentially announced that Ruud Van Nistelrooy is in favour of a move to the German club.

The Dutch international looks set to leave Old Trafford over the summer following a much-publicised fall-out with Sir Alex Ferguson, and the Bundesliga outfit are said to be battling it out with Real Madrid to secure the services of the 30-year-old.

"The player wants to come to us we know that. Now we will approach the thing with all calm." said Rummenigge.

"We have to speak with the player and naturally with Manchester United but there are no grounds for haste."
