Ruud Van Nistelrooy is back in training with Manchester United as his future continues to hang in the balance. Sir Alex Ferguson is holding firm on his £15million valuation for the player, with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid eyeing-up the striker's services.

Want-away forward Ruud Van Nistelrooy has returned to training with United as his future remains unclear.

The Dutch international looks on the verge of leaving United after falling-out with manager Sir Alex Ferguson, but the Red Devils are remaining firm on a £15million asking price and have told the player he will not be allowed to leave if this valuation is not matched.

"We are open to offers for Van Nistelrooy, but I would have no problem with him being available for the opening game against Fulham." admitted Fergie, who has already knocked back a £9million bid from Real Madrid for the prolific forward.

Meanwhile, reports are suggesting that Bayern Munich are tabling a substantial offer for Van Nistelrooy next week, though it is not known whether the German outfit will be willing to match United's big asking price.
