Hargreaves to United?

Owen Hargreaves has refused to rule out a move to Manchester United, with speculation suggesting that the Red Devils are ready to table an offer for the England international. The 25-year-old has been linked with a move away from Bayern Munich for some time.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves.

The 25-year-old has, for some while, has been rumoured to be on the verge of leaving the Bundesliga for a Premiership club, and has now refused to rule out a move to Old Trafford amid speculation that Sir Alex Ferguson is pursuing his signature.

"I have not read any of the press gossip." said the England international, already caped 35 times for his country.

"As always, some of it is accurate, some of it is not. I cannot go into specifics but we will see how things pan out over the next few days."

Hargreaves' improved form on the international stage has finally won him some acclaim with English supporters. He seems keen on a move to the Premiership, but United could have problems in negotiating a fee with Bayern, who are keen for Hargreaves to stay in Germany.
