Roman Grill, agent of Owen Hargreaves, has announced that his client will not be leaving Bayern Munich before the transfer window closes. The midfielder has expressed his interest in moving to Manchester United, but his club are not willing to listen to any offers.

Owen Hargreaves will not be joining Manchester United this summer.

With the transfer window set to close, the Bayern Munich midfielder will be staying with Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga club were not prepared to listen to offers from Old Trafford, and the player's agent has announced that any potential transfer deal is dead.

"We have to accept there is no way Bayern will allow this transfer to happen." confirmed Hargreaves' agent Roman Grill.

"His only hope is that if United remain interested in him the deal could happen at a later date."

Reports suggested that Sir Alex Ferguson was prepared to splash out some £17million for the England international's services, but Bayern, who have the player under contract until 2010, refused to cooperate with the United boss.
