Great Weekend for United - Eight Points Clear!

United enjoyed an excellent weekend, beating local rivals 3-1 at Old Trafford with goals from Wayne Rooney, Louis Saha and Cristiano Ronaldo. The win sent the reds nine points clear of Chelsea; with the Blues only able to respond with a draw against Arsenal on Sunday.

Saturday lunchtime games rarely generate the best atmosphere or games, but both sets of fans were in good voice despite the early hour and United duly registered the expected victory over city.

 

The visitors in the away corner clearly thought it was 1986 as they had dusted off their old inflatable bananas and waved them at the home fans in a "fruitless gesture"!
