United eased past Charlton Athletic at Old Trafford with goals from J S Park and Darren Fletcher. The visitors battled hard but the result was never in doubt and should have been more emphatic with some good chances wasted.

The win keeps United six pointsclear of Chelsea who won at Stamford Bridge 3-0.
