In a highy charged atmosphere in the Olympic Stadium in Rome, United came away with a valuable away goal losing 2-1 on the night. Off the field disturbances may dominate the headlines but on the field the ten men of United did well after Paul Scholes was sent off for two "yellows" in the first half.
