Kieran Richardson silenced his growing number of critics with United’s fourth and final goal on Saturday.

The eight-time capped England international netted the winning strike as the Red Devils secured a 4-1 victory over Watford to book their place in the showpiece Wembley final.

22-year-old Richardson has been on the wrong end of some harsh treatment from United’s following in recent weeks after some less than impressive performances this season.

However, Richardson’s impressive strike against Watford could give the youngster the confidence boost he needs as he looks to remain in contention for regular first-team football at Old Trafford.
