Mourinho Slams United 'Bias'

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho feels that 'biased' referring decisions could cost his team the Premiership crown. The 'Special One' has singled out three penalty claims that he feels could cost the Blues a third successive league championship.

A fuming Jose Mourinho has announced that Chelsea's title bid is being undermined by biased referring decision in favour of Manchester United.

The shocking claim came after Mourinho watched his Blues side draw 0-0 at St.James' Park as they failed to close the gap on United at the top of the Premiership table.

United's 2-0 win over Sheffield United saw the Blades denied a penalty after Luton Shelton was brought down by Gabriel Heinze; whilst a similar incident saw Lee Dong-Gook taken down by John O'Shea in the closing stages of Saturday's 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough.

"The circumstances are difficult for us with the new football rules that we have to face," said the Portuguese coach.

"It is not possible to have a penalty against Manchester United."

Mourinho went onto bemoan his own team's luck with penalty decisions after Chelsea were not given a spot-kick despite a hand-ball from Newcastle's Stephen Carr.

"It was a penalty at Old Trafford. It was a penalty to us. We are talking about points," he added

"It is not a conspiracy, it is fact. I speak facts. If not, I need big glasses. If you tell me it was not a penalty for Sheffield United, or a penalty for Middlesbrough, or for us against Newcastle. I must go to my optician."

The 44-year-old's bitterness only adds to the tension of this pulsating title race. The weekend's results leave United three points clear at the top of the Premiership table as we enter the final four matches of the season. United's crucial visit to Stamford Bridge is the penultimate game of the league campaign.
