Ben Foster has visited a specialist as he looks to overcome a worrying knee injury. The 24-year-old has already has surgery as he looks to challenge Edwin Van Der Sar for goalkeeping duties at Old Trafford next season; having spent the last two seasons on loan with Watford.
Ben Foster could face a further delay in making his first Manchester United appearance.
The England international has spent two seasons on loan with Watford and has been tipped to challenge Edwin Van Der Sar for the club's number one jersey next season.
However, a worrying knee injury could see the 24-year-old spend a lengthy spell on the sidelines. The youngster has already gone through exploratory surgery to his right-knee and is said to be having real trouble as he aims to return to full fitness for the new season.
Foster made 73 league appearances during his two years with Watford and is well regarded as a superb prospect for the future at both club and international level.
