Hargreaves Deal Confirmed

Manchester United have confirmed that Owen Hargreaves has signed for the club. The deal will officially go through at the beginning of July with reports suggesting Sir Alex Ferguson has splashed out a whopping £17million for the midfielder's services.

Manchester United have confirmed the signing of midfielder Owen Hargreaves.

The England international joins the club from German giants Bayern Munich for a fee believed to be in the region of £17million. The deal will 'officially' go through on July 1st but the transfer has already been agreed unconditionally.

The signing, United's first of the summer, sees Sir Alex Ferguson finally capture a long-term transfer target. United have twice tried to sign the player but he has finally made the move to Old Trafford that sees the Red Devils strengthen their midfield personnel.

Hargreaves has agreed personal terms and has come through his medical. Reports suggest he will now pen a five-year deal with the club.
