After the defeat at the Reebok on Saturday United bounced back to defeat a hard working Sporting Lisbon side by two goals to one at Old Trafford. After falling behind in the first half two goals in front of the Stretford End from Carl;os Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo gave United all three points. The Red Devils now go to Roma knowing they cannot be caught and can play some fringe players in Italy.
