50 years ago the lives of many footballers, journalists and club officials were tragically ended in the snow at Munich Airport. On a day of sad reflection and memories the extent of the tragedy and it's enduring legacy will be felt by many. I know that the football world will come together to pay their respects on this the fifieth anniversary of the tragedy. RIP " The Flowers of Manchester "

On Wednesday 6 February, everyone connected with Manchester United will stop to remember the Munich air disaster of 1958.

MUTV, the club's official TV channel, will be free to air in the UK throughout the day for all cable and satellite viewers as it continues its week of special programmes.

Live programming on Wednesday starts at 8am, leading up to full coverage of the Old Trafford memorial service from 2.30pm. Munich, a new 90-minute documentary about the Babes' triumphs and tragedy, will be shown at 9pm.
