Solskjaer in Ulster as United prepare for Milk Cup

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was cheered on by thousands of supporters on Sunday evening as he officially opened the new 2008 Milk Cup competition. The Norwegian international, the club’s new reserve-team boss, journeyed to Coleraine with Paul McGuinness' United starlets as they prepare to contest the ‘Premier’ section of the illustrious youth tournament.
Solskjaer received a tremendous ovation from fans in Northern Ireland as he opened up the tournament in Northern Ireland.
United's youngsters will once again be competing in the 'Premier' section of the competition and Solskjaer underlined the importance of the tournament.
Ole said: "This competition has built up a worldwide reputation for excellence and we have sent teams here for many years."
The Premier competition is for Under-17 club and national sides. United's youngsters kick-off their campaign with matches against Otago and County Armagh.
The Red Devils have previously won the Junior competition in 1991 and 2003.
