Park in the dark over United future

Park Ji-Sung is unsure where his footballing future lies. The South Korean winger's current deal expires at the end of the season and negotiations with the player are yet to get underway. The player was recently involved in United's Club World Cup triumph in Japan, but has started only ten league games this season.
Park has made 101 appearances for United since signing from PSV Eindhoven in July 2005.
The 27-year-old joined United in a £4million deal but has struggled to hold down a regular first-team place and had to suffer the agony of being left-out of United's match-day 18 for the Champions League final in May.
Park has underlined his desire to stay at Old Trafford - but his future is certainly in doubt with the club yet to open discussions about a potential new deal.
"I only have one more year left on my contract and there has been no contact about a new deal yet.
"I want to stay here but we'll have to wait and see. I'm not letting myself become too worried. I just want to concentrate on playing well for United and, hopefully, we'll talk.
"If I play well and show that I'm an asset to the team then maybe I'll get a new contract."
United face fixture congestion as we head into the New Year with matches in all four major competitions on the horizon. Park will be hoping to make the most of any opportunities he gets and prove to Sir Alex that he is worth keeping.
