Ronaldo hits out at Real speculation

As the January transfer window opens amid a flurry of speculation, Cristiano Ronaldo has been quick to squash rumours about his own future. Reports from Spain suggest that Manchester United and Real Madrid have agreed a fee for Ronaldo – with the deal set to be made public at the end of the season.

The summer was dominated by rumours and hearsay regarding Ronaldo and Real Madrid.

The player made public his desire to join the Spanish giants - but United held firm, and the player eventually saw sense and sheepishly committed his future to the European champions.

In recent weeks, more reports have surfaced regarding Ronaldo's future - with one director at the Bernabeu claiming that a deal was in place to sign the 23-year-old winger at the end of the season.

Such comments were later denied by Real president Ramon Calderon, and Ronaldo has now underlined his intention to stay in the red jersey of United for the foreseeable future at least.

"People were speaking about me this summer but that was normal because of what I did during the season. What people are saying now is not true." said Ronny, speaking to the club's official web-site

"Who says that is a liar because I am happy at the club, I want to stay here. I feel at home here. I feel very happy here."
