Sir Alex Ferguson will give some of the squad players and junior members of the team a chance to shine at Wembley on Sunday afternoon in the Carling Cup Final against Spurs. Kick off is 3,00 pm and the match is live on Sky Sports 1. Edwin van der Sar and Dimitar Berbatov won't figure and it is believed Sir Alex will start with Tevez and Rooney up front with a strong bench to call upon if needed.
Hopefully Sir Alex Ferguson won't pay for complacency as his prepares to make a number of changes to his starting line-up. Darron Gibson and Danny Welbeck look set to be involved, but the United boss won't be able to call upon Rafael Da Silva as the Brazilian full-back faces a month on the sidelines with a damaged ankle.
Spurs go into the game on the back of a dissappointing Uefa Cup exit at the hands of Shakhtar Donestk. Harry Redknapp was pilloried for fielding a much-changed side which resulted in his side's downfall, and it would be ironic if Spurs benefied from Sir Alex's tinkering on Sunday afternoon.
Spurs, current holders of the Carling-sponsored competition, go into the game without cup-tied quartet Robbie Keane, Wilson Palacios, Carlo Cudicini and Pascal Chimbonda. Fraizer Campbell isn't allowed to play against hia prent club, but Jamie O'Hara and Ledley King may feature.
The Red Army will be hoping that United can sweep aside Spurs and take the next step towards winning an unlikely and unprecedented five major trophies in one season. However, Fergie has played-down the occasion by claiming Wednesday's Premier League clash with Newcastle is more important - even though the champions boast a healthy lead at the top of the Premier League tree.
United have won the competition twice before - claiming victories under Ferguson in 1992 and 2006. We've reached the final after wins over Middlesbrough, QPR, Blackburn and Derby County - and hopefully, despite the team changes, we can secure another piece of silverware on the weekend.
The League Cup is a major competition and United's success on all fronts this season is testimony to the squad's strength in depth. A win is hugely important - but can we deliver? Join in the discussion on the messageboard.

I hope gibson and Welbeck do start but if its not going well i want Fergie to put the big guns, would like to see ronnie as a sub, hopefully he will.
