Manchester United’s coaching staff have nominated a handful of starlets to be put forward for the club’s 'Reserve Team Player of the Year' accolade. Tom Cleverley, James Chester and James Corry have been nominated for the award which will now be voted on by the club’s supporters.
Defensive-minded midfielder Cleverly is perhaps favourite to snap up the award. The youngster hit the net during United's pre-season preparations and proved a consistently strong performer for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's reserves before heading to Leicester City on loan to help aid the Foxes' League One promotion bid.
20-year-old Chester has also been nominated. The centre-half is captain of the Stiffs; though a series of injuries have limited his appearances for the reserves this season. The youngster played at Peterborough on loan in January and made five appearances under Sir Alex's son, Darren.
Versatile Ulsterman Corry Evans has also made the shortlist. He has mainly occupied the centre-back role this season and has filled in superbly at the back when Chester has been on the sidelines. He is the younger brother of United's first-team defender Johnny and is hoping for a big future at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer's second-string currently sit fourth in the Reserve Legue North table with five games to go. The Reds are eight points behind run-away leaders Sunderland.

My nominations would have been Evans, Macheda and Possebon/Welbeck.
Evans should win it imo.

Lee Martin- although he was on loan for half of the season he has impressed and almost start in all reserve games. In these games he either has an assist or a goal. He should be given some run in the first team.
ROdrigo Possebon- Not much to say because we all know what he can do. Great Passer and has a great shot.
Federico Macheda- this kid I can say is one of the most consistent I've seen. Can score goals, pass and assist. He should get some run in the first team (carling cup) next season.
Fabio- This kid is a revealation just like his brother. With Evra's fluctuating form I think he should be brought in. He has more goals than his appearances.
Welbeck- Welbeck, Macheda, Campbell, Ajose, and more the future manchester fowards
