Former Manchester United frontman David Healy may not get the chance to line up against his former employers on Saturday. The Ulsterman is struggling with a groin injury and may have to sit on the sidelines as Ricky Sbragia, ex-United reserve boss, prepares to do battle with Sir Alex Ferguson. It's a crucial game for both clubs for very different reasons.

Healy picked up the groin problem whilst on international duty with Northern Ireland.

The Ulsterman claimed crucial wins over Poland and Slovenia; but Healy returned to the North East carrying an injury.

He was named in the squad for Sunderland 2-0 defeat at West Ham and was an unused substitute. However, he has since aggravated the problem in training and is now considered a major doubt for the weekend's clash.

29-year-old Healy made only three United appearances - all of which were from the substitutes bench. His debut came in October 1999 when a weakened Reds line-up crashed to a 3-0 League Cup defeat at Villa Park.
