Hiddink admits Chelsea's title bid is over

Guus Hiddink has admitted that his Chelsea side are out of the Premier League title race following their 0-0 draw with Everton on Wednesday evening. The interim Stamford Bridge boss watched his side draw a blank against United's F.A Cup conquerors as the table-topping Red Devils opened up a six-point lead over third-placed Chelsea.

As United cruised to a largely comfortable 2-0 victory over Portsmouth, Hiddink's Chelsea were held to a goalless draw at home to Everton.

In a dress rehearsal for May's Cup final, Everton enjoyed the better of the opening period but Chelsea grew stronger as the game wore on.

However, neither side could find the net in a result that effectively ends Chelsea's hopes of winning the Premier League title.

Hiddink said: "We said before the match that we could not drop any more points and we have.

"Mathematically we're in the title race but we have to be honest and focus now on the Champions League and FA Cup."

United are six points ahead of Chelsea and enjoy a game-in-hand over the London club and the second-placed Scousers. Wednesday's results have left the Reds as overwhelming 1/7 favourites to regain the league championship.

I personally think it's over for bothe Liverpool and Chelski. I think WE allready feel let down by ourself and will do everything to pocket the League as First priority and then the Champions League. I feel bad for Liverpool, but not for their coach. I think he is the big let down of the Anfield outfit.
