Foster signs new four-year deal at United

Ben Foster has committed his long-term future to the club by penning a new four-year deal at Old Trafford. Speculation had suggested that the 26-year-old England hopeful would leave the club in search for first-team football; but Foster has decided to remain a Red.
A
series of injuries and competition for places from Edwin van der Sar and Tomasz
Kuszczak had left Foster's Old Trafford future in doubt.
An
exceptional display against Spurs in the League Cup final was the highlight of
Foster's campaign last season - but he still spent most of the season warming
the substitute's bench of sitting in the stands.
However, with VDS approaching the end of his glamorous career, Foster has opted to stay with United and chase the number one jersey.
Foster
has two caps for England
and will be hoping to steer free of injury and play himself into contention for
a spot at the 2010 World Cup next summer.
