Manchester United have snapped up French winger Gabriel Obertan from Bordeaux. The 20-year-old has penned a four-year deal at Old Trafford with the transfer fee reportedly in the region of £3million.
Obertan becomes United's third signing of the summer following the capture of Antonio Valencia and Michael Owen.
The youngster, capped at Under-21 level for the French, has made 54 league appearances for Bordeaux and spent the latter half of last season on loan with FC Lorient where he netted one goal from fifteen appearances.
The towering winger will bring versatility to the club. Whilst he is most comfortable on the flank, Obertan is also happy to play in central midfield and in attack.
United have been interested in Obertan for somewhile and Sir Alex Ferguson has been quick to swoop after receiving a whopping £80million following the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid.
