Ronny's Real debut

Cristiano Ronaldo made his first appearance in a Real Madrid jersey on Tuesday evening. The former Red, who quit the club in a £80million move earlier in the summer, had a less than impressive 45 minutes as the Spanish club stuttered to a 1-0 win against Irish club Shamrock Rovers.
League of Ireland club Shamrock welcomed the Sky Sports cameras to their brand new, half-built Tallaght Stadium on Tuesday evening as Real Madrid made the trip to the Emerald Isle.
The hardworking Hoops were just minutes away from claiming a fantastic result before Red Devils target Karim Bemzema marked his club debut with the only goal of the game.
The friendly in Dublin marked Ronaldo's first appearance in the white jersey of Madrid - but the world's most expensive player put in a poor 45-minute show in front of 10,915 spectators.
Despite his quiet debut, Ronaldo told the official Real Madrid web-site that: "I felt well on the pitch, but what really matters is that the team wins".
Los Galacticos continue their pre-season campaign in next week's Peace Cup where they could play as many as four matches and could potentially face Martin O'Neill's Aston Villa.
