Sir Alex faces defensive crisis for all-Lancashire clash

Manchester United entertain Lancastrian rivals Blackburn Rovers on Saturday evening. Both teams are facing a crisis ahead of the game – with the Reds possibly missing three high-profile defenders, and the Rovers squad gripped by an outbreak of swine flu.
United are without skipper Gary Neville who is suspended
following his red card at Oakwell. Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand are major
doubts which could leave the Reds very depleted at the back.
Sir Alex Ferguson is also sweating on the fitness of Ryan
Giggs - whilst Danny Fletcher and Ji-Sung
Park have been ruled out
through injury.
Rovers' preparations for the game have been disrupted by a
swine flu virus in the camp. Jason Roberts won't be included as he's carrying
the virus - whilst Chris Samba is also a major doubt.
The outbreak of swine flu at Ewood Park is such that manager
Sam Allardyce watched their midweek 5-2 win over Darren Ferguson's Peterborough
from the safety of the stands!
The bookies don't believe that Sir Alex will suffer the same
fate that his son did during the week, however. Blackburn have lost all four of
their away games in the Premier League thus far, and make the short trip to Old
Trafford as 14/1 underdogs!
It's a 5.15pm kick-off at Old Trafford, with the game broadcast live on ESPN.
