Happy Rooney not interested in Barcelona switch

Amid speculation of interest from La Liga, Wayne Rooney has reiterated his desire to spend the rest of his career at Old Trafford. Catalan giants Barcelona have been linked with a shock £85million swoop for the England frontman, but new father Rooney has no desire to leave the Red Devils.
Speaking ahead of England's
international friendly with Brazil
on Saturday, Rooney dismissed talk of a move abroad and instead underlined how
happy he is with life at Old Trafford.
"It's
nice to be noticed but I'm really happy at United and, unless they tell me
otherwise, I can't see myself leaving," said the 24-year-old.
"I love
the place. It's 30 minutes from home and all my family and I've got a great
chance of winning more trophies,"
Rooney
went onto reveal that he expects to start negotiations over a new contract
soon, adding: "I've got two years left after this year on my contract so I'm
sure we'll be negotiating a new deal in the next few months."
Rooney joined United from hometown club Everton five years ago. Since then, he's established himself as a prolific strike who already has 105 club goals to his name following a £20million move.
