The Red Devils have won the 'MLS All-Stars Trophy' after an excellent 5-2 win over a Major League Soccer All-Stars XI. Kiko Macheda bagged two, as Darron Gibson, Tom Cleverley and Javier Hernandez all got on the scoresheet.
United got off to a stunning start and Federico Macheda opened the deadlock after only 22 seconds before firing home a second goal on twelve minutes.
Brian Ching headed home David Ferreira's on 64 minutes as the All Stars threatened a comeback - but goals from Darron Gibson, Tom Cleverley and Javier Hernandez soon put the contest beyond doubt.
De Roasrio netted late consolation for the MLS in the closing seconds before Brad Davis hit the woodwork, but United were worthy winners as the 70,728 spectators were left well entertained.
The performance was an excellent response to United's poor defeat against Kansas City and ensures that the Red Devils bring the MLS All-Star trophy back to English shores; a feat matched by Everton twelve months ago.
